Stiebel Eltron heat pump - common questions
Stiebel Eltron WPL Ace achieves SCOP up to 4.5, making it one of the highest-efficiency air source heat pumps available in the UK market. Only Daikin Altherma 3 matches this at the top end. If efficiency is your single most important factor and budget allows, Stiebel Eltron is a very strong contender.
Stiebel Eltron's WPL Ace series starts at just 37 dB — the quietest of any major brand. This is achieved through precision-engineered fan blades, acoustic insulation in the casing, and variable-speed compressor technology. The brand has 100 years of heat pump development behind these refinements.
Yes. Stiebel Eltron WPL heat pumps are MCS-approved and eligible for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant in England and Wales.
This is Stiebel Eltron's main limitation in the UK market. Compared to Mitsubishi, Vaillant or Worcester Bosch, their installer network is significantly smaller. You may need to travel further or wait longer for a specialist. Use Stiebel Eltron's installer finder at stiebel-eltron.co.uk to locate your nearest approved partner.
